Role Overview

The IT Coordinator will serve as the primary point of contact for internal IT queries, acting as a liaison between our external IT partner in the UK and our head office IT department in Europe. The role will also involve managing upcoming IT improvement projects at our sites in Milton Keynes and Belfast. Additionally, there will be occasional international trips and the potential to take on remote regional responsibilities across Oceania and North America.

 

 

Your duties and key responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for IT-related queries within Sikla UK.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues independently or in collaboration with our external IT partner and Sikla's international IT team.
  • Manage IT onboarding and offboarding processes for employees.
  • Document procedures and create flowcharts (including network mapping) for common IT requests and issues.
  • Install and configure hardware and software, or coordinate these activities with external and international teams.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of IT hardware and stock levels.
  • Optimise file storage solutions to improve accessibility and efficiency.
  • Support IT developments for new business projects, such as ERP integration, production digitalisation, and CRM system transitions.
  • Communicate proactively with all departments to ensure timely and effective resolution of IT issues.
  • Assist in the preparation and management of the IT budget.

 

Your Profile

•    Suitable qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
•    1-2 years of experience in an IT support role or similar position, preferably in a corporate environment.
•    Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office 365, Teams, Sharepoint and Outlook
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in plain language to everyday users
•    Ability to prioritise tasks, work independently, and collaborate effectively with internal and external teams
•    Strong problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
•    Empathy and a focus on IT user satisfaction.
