As the Customs & Logistics Coordinator (CLC) you will assist and report directly the Distribution Manager (DM).

Your key duties and responsibilities

  • Assisting with the daily logistics and planning deliveries most effectively with the DM
  • Talking to Logistic companies, customers and providing high standard of customer service
  • Knowing and supporting the team with understanding of Incoterms
  • Negotiating prices (deliveries, storage etc.)
  • Understanding and supporting with all requirements for Exports/Imports
  • Creating packing lists 
  • Running statistics to improve on Logistic costs and to calculate delivery charges for customers
  • Providing custom documentation and organising custom clearance
  • Working closely with local chamber of commerce
  • Organising packaging material and seeking for suppliers
  • Supporting the other departments with communicating incoming and outgoing deliveries, delays, logistic issues etc. 
  • Helping with improvements in all processes, with tools and the warehouse settings
  • Checking deliveries accurately: Quality Checks for Goods in and Goods out
  • Using the ERP System for processes in the warehouse
  • Ensuring that the Route Card procedure is always followed 
  • Motivating and supporting the team
  • Supporting tight timescales and given deadlines
  • Maintaining high level of health & safety standards
  • Covering for the DM during holiday and other absences

Skills & Abilities

  • Good analytical and numerical skills 
  • Understanding of Goods In and Goods Out controls & management systems
  • Ability to work productively, efficiently, effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales
  • Able to take accountability
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Previous experience of working within Logistics and Customs 
  • Good knowledge of Health and Safety requirements 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently under pressure and to timescales
  • Bright and positive with a keen eye for detail
  • Flexible, adaptable, and willing to learn
  • Accuracy and attention to detail is vital


Experience & Qualifications

  • Secondary School or equivalent
  • Profound knowledge of Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams
  • CRM Systems
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience of Logistics & Customs
